CHOICE OF MATERIALS
The choice of materials plays a crucial role in our daily activities. We prefer partly renewable materials that come from natural resources, such as linen and cotton coming from controlled sources but also recycled and certified materials such as regenerated leather and recycled polyester. Discarded resources can turn into high-quality materials that lower the demand for virgin raw materials.

The R&D team focuses on creating cutting-edge, customized designs and integrating bio-based and recycled materials, always ensuring high quality and performance. To achieve this, the laboratory performs precise material analysis, quality tests and compliance verifications with industry standards.
We approach minimization from different points of view, like limiting the number of components and layers of products or looking for low weight and volume solutions while still ensuring high quality and functionality.

Rethinking elements, such as embellishments, closure systems, or customization techniques, is a key focus for our R&D department. We carefully evaluate their function and, whenever possible, replace or redesign them.
For example, we develop stitching-free closure systems, such as tuck-in tab closures, and often opt for logo customization through debossing or embossing allowing us to reduce the amount of materials used without compromising on aesthetics.
We minimize the number of structural layers and reduce the quantity of materials, maintaining durability and quality. At the same time, we optimize shapes and sizes to enhance functionality and improve the user experience.
