Our actions to reduce the environmental impact of processes
We are focused on reducing carbon footprint of our direct operations, through the production and procurement of renewable electricity sources and improving energy efficiency in our plants.
Additionally, we prioritize efficient logistics by focusing on customer proximity and we prefer opting for sea freight, which is one of the transportation modes with a relatively low carbon footprint compared to other options.

RENEWABLE ENERGY
Since 2015, Fedon's plant in Italy is equipped with a 97-kW photovoltaic (PV) system, which generates approximately 80.000 kWh of electricity annually for on-site use, above 10% of Fedon’s consumption. In addition, 100% of the electricity purchased from the grid comes from renewable sources. The ambition is to continue increasing, also outside Italy, the coverage of Fedon’s plants energy needs with renewable ones.
ENERGY EFFICIENCY
Embracing environmental protection through energy savings and improved lighting efficiency, we also upgraded to more energy-efficient lighting in our offices and production areas.
We are focused on waste management by valorizing end-of-life waste.
In 2024 around 97% of waste, produced in Fedon’s plant in Italy, has been valorized, this means that it has been processed in a way that recovers value, whether as material or energy, contributing to circular economy goals.
